Car fans and experts have been taking to the internet to share their tips and tricks and hacks. One influencer recently shared their simple hack to make your headlights work better.

By pressing a commonly used button on their key fob for a specific duration, some drivers can unlock a range of unexpected features.

The clever hack allows drivers to fold in their wing mirrors with the simple click of a button, eliminating the need for manual folding and helping to keep the car protected.

Some car owners are reporting if they hold down the lock button on their electric key fob for 10 seconds, their wing mirrors will automatically fold in. This proves particularly useful when parking in tight spaces with other vehicles in close proximity.

Some high-quality sedans and SUVs have an automatic window-folding function when the car is parked, but other car owners could be missing out on a similarly easy way to fold in their wing mirrors.

Owners of brands like Nissan and BMW have reported they can fold in their wing mirrors using their key fobs too, The Sun found.

On online forums, car owners share their experiences and tips regarding these hidden features. A user on GM-Trucks.com expressed their satisfaction with the power mirrors feature on their Optima.

They said: “My Optima had the same thing, and it was great.”

“I know you can hold the lock button on the fob and it will fold them in but there is no way to automatically fold and unfold when locking/unlocking.”

Another said: “Not sure if people know this but it was new to me. I found out you can fold the outside mirrors with the key fob. Hold down the lock button the mirrors will fold.”

Another little-known key fob feature is going viral, after an influencer explained drivers can set their central locking system to only open the driver’s door.
