Mercedes-Benz has launched the updated GLE in India. The SUV is available in three variants with prices starting at Rs 96.4 lakh (ex-showroom).

Mercedes-Benz has made subtle design changes to the GLE. The SUV gets a reworked front fascia, new design alloy wheels and a few updates to the rear end, that include redesigned LED taillights.

On the inside, the GLE gets a new 3-spoke steering wheel with touch-sensitive controls from the S-Class. It also comes with the latest MBUX infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and Mercedes’ ‘Transparent Bonnet’ function. Other features include 4-zone automatic climate control, wireless charger, ventilated front seats with massage function, a panoramic sunroof and a 360-degree camera. Air suspension is offered on the top-spec GLE 450 and 450d variants.

The GLE facelift is available with three engine options. These include a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel that makes 265 BHP and 550 Nm, a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder diesel that puts out 362 BHP and 750 Nm and a 3.0-litre petrol that produces 375 BHP and 500 Nm. All engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and the brand’s 4Matic all-wheel drive system.
