Kia has revealed a list of the most luxurious service stations across the UK’s motorway and A-road network.
The study was based on Google Reviews left by motorists, looked at a number of factors, including the quality of amenities offered, the appearance of the location and the amount of free parking offered.
A spokesperson for Kia noted that a good motorway service station must feature all the convenience that drivers expect in a pleasant environment.
They explained: “At Kia, we believe that every journey should be an exceptional experience, so we are keen to use research to help motorists plan an even better trip across the UK.
“Convenience and comfort are vital on the road, but aesthetically stunning surroundings can bring even more to your drive.”

According to Kia, the most stunning motorway service station in the UK is Gloucester Services, located on the M5.
Opened in 2014 and 2015 respectively, both north and southbound buildings feature an agricultural appearance, with grass growing on the roof and a farm shop inside.
Motorists can also enjoy a number of dog walking routes, a dining terrace, a gelato counter, and a children’s play area.

Kia’s spokesperson also highlighted that the top 10 service stations all featured electric vehicle chargers, allowing EV owners to charge their car’s battery while they take a break from travelling.
They added: “It’s great to see that each service station in the top 10 has electric vehicle charging points.
“A number also offer high-powered IONITY charging, making it even easier for EV owners to enjoy a seamless road trip.”
