Ukrainian anti-aircraft systems shot down 15 of the drones.<\/p>\n<p>The overnight strike on Kyiv is the second attack on the Ukrainian capital in 48 hours, said the city\u2019s Military Administration spokesperson, Serhii Popko.<\/p>\n<p>He said that the drones attacked Kyiv from different directions in waves that were \u201cconstantly changing vectors.\u201d Preliminary reports indicated no casualties or critical damage, he said.<\/p>\n<p>But the strikes caused power cuts in more than 400 towns across the country, leaving 21,000 residents without electricity as winter temperatures begin to cripple in.<\/p>\n<p>The UK Defence Ministry said Sunday that there were \u201cfew immediate prospects of major changes in the front line,\u201d with neither Russia nor Ukraine having made meaningful progress on the battlefield.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, it said that intense fighting was concentrated near Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region, Avdiivka in the Dontesk region, and on the left bank of the Dnieper River, where Ukrainian forces have established a bridgehead.<\/p>\n<p><b>THIS IS A LIVE BLOG.
