‌While many British tourists choose to holiday abroad, the UK is home to many incredibly beautiful regions. According to a new ranking by Which? Travel, a gorgeous area of coastline in Wales is one of the UK’s prettiest staycation destinations.

Which? asked nearly 5,000 people to rank the UK’s Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and National Scenic Areas. While two English spots tied in first place, a stunning area of Welsh coastline landed inside the top five.

The Gower Peninsula on the coast of South West Wales was awarded five out of five stars for walks. It also earned four stars for peace and quiet and scenery.

Just a little out of Swansea, the Gower Peninsula was actually the UK’s first ever Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. One of its top-rated attractions is breathtaking Rhossili Bay.
