Putin flaunts nuclear suitcases in China

A recently fired Russian anchorman issued a chilling warning to Vladimir Putin as he forecast the “collapse” of Russia within the next decade.

Yevgeny Satanovsky was recently removed from Russian television screens after allegedly making derogatory comments about two high-ranking Foreign Ministry officials.

And he doubled-downed with his criticism of the current government as he warned Putin he won’t be able to remain in control of Russia for much longer.

Satanovsky argued that “the opportunity of collapse will be somewhere in the 2030s, because Putin isn’t permanent; he’s aging.”

He suggested that the current Russian president will likely anoint a successor to take over from him but whoever comes next will not be able to wield the same level of power.

According to translation by Wartranslated, Satanovsky said: “As always, strong leaders are followed by weak ones, and Putin is very strong in terms of holding power – though what I think about how he’s running the country is a separate topic.

“He’ll put some small, weak s*** in his place. Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev was an example.”

Between 2008 and 2012, Putin had protegée Medvedev taking over from him because of the constitution forbidding him to serve a third consecutive term.

But rather than taking a complete break from politics, he merely switched roles, becoming the new Russian Prime Minster before reclaiming the top seat at the Kremlin.

In 2020, he ushered in constitutional changes to ensure he could stay in power with no term limit.

Putin has suffered blows to his popularity since the start of the invasion of Ukraine but extensive propaganda and the threat of brutal opposition crackdowns have secured him the wider support of the population.
