Tourists have slammed one of Portugal\u2019s top attractions as they claim it\u2019s \u201cshockingly overcrowded\u201d and say they had to wait in a \u201cmassive queue\u201d.<\/p>\n
Often described as the \u2018most beautiful bookstore\u2019 in the world, Livraria Lello is located in the northern Portuguese city, Porto.<\/p>\n
The shop\u2019s spectacular architecture with its forked staircase and stained glass window make it one of the city\u2019s top attractions. However, there\u2019s another reason the shop attracts over one million tourists per year.<\/p>\n
Lirvaria Lello is rumoured to have inspired Harry Potter as author JK Rowling used to enjoy having coffee there when she lived in Porto. Despite its claims to fame, the shop wasn\u2019t a great experience for everyone.<\/p>\n
\u2018Gillian L\u2019 wrote on Tripadvisor: \u201cFar too crowded to enjoy the interior. Had to wait in a massive queue. Could hardly move.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tourists can buy a ticket for 8 euros (\u00a36.89) online.<\/p>\n Although tourists do need to pay to access the bookshop, they can redeem the price of their ticket if they buy a book.<\/p>\n Although some people found the shop far too crowded, others enjoyed the experience but complained about people posing for Instagram photos.<\/p>\n \u2018Nottobeunderestimated\u2019 wrote: \u201cTotally deserving of the epithet \u2018most beautiful bookshop in the world\u2019. Worth ticket price as you get a discount on books purchased. Only thing which lets it down is the selfishness of folk posing for Instagram.\u201d<\/p>\n But Lirvaria Lello isn\u2019t the only top attraction to be overcrowded.
