A pensioner has gone missing while searching for her disappeared son and his friend – whose body has now been found in the woods.
Glenda "Cookie" Parton, 80, was last spotted at a supermarket in Turley, Oklahoma a week ago last Monday evening (October 25) with an unidentified man.
Her car was found at the side of the road off Highway 75 in Tulsa the next day.
Glenda's son Dwayne Selby went missing a few days earlier on October 22 alongside his friend Jack Grimes, 76.
They planned to go to a horse show in Fort Worth, Texas but never arrived or contacted their families with an update.
Mr Selby and Mr Grimes were last seen on CCTV footage at a diner in Oklahoma City, some 200 miles from Fort Worth.
Yet last Sunday, the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office said remains were found in the woods just west of Turley – where Glenda was last seen.
It was the body of Jack Grimes – and cops immediately treated the finding as a homicide.

Sheriff Vic Regaldo told a press conference it can't be ruled out that Parton and Shelby met the same fate, perhaps even by the same perpetrator.
He said: "Our deepest sympathies are with the family and friends of Jack Grimes.
"We currently are searching the area where Jack's remains were found for additional victims."
