A sex robot created with artificial intelligence has been recorded performing a range of day to day tasks in groundbreaking footage.

Manufacturer LoveDolls, based inside the world’s biggest sex doll factory in the Chinese city of Zhongshan, designed Emma along with Shenzhen AI-Tech.

The £2,799 model is capable of communicating with people in English and Chinese, and was created with multiple touch sensors.

LoveDolls has also incorporated a heating function, which warms up the robot to body temperature.

In footage promoting the model, she is unpackaged by her new owner before telling him: “I’m Emma. I’m here to accompany you.”

Over breakfast, she checks the weather forecast and says: “Its 26-30C with light rain in Shenzhen. Don’t forget to bring an umbrella with you.”

Emma then checks her owner’s email and translates it from Chinese.

The footage ends with the message: “Love is the foundation of success, true love can never be silent.

“Shenzhen AI Tech creates the perfect girlfriend who knows you best.”

Users are encouraged to modify their robots and to “teach” them about things they may not understand.

The company states: “You can correct her if she answers your question incorrectly or you are not satisfied with her answer.

LoveDolls previously unveiled an innovative sex doll with a new feature capable of mimicking breathing.

Spokesman Adam told the Daily Star: “Everybody agrees that the perfect sex doll robot, almost indistinguishable from humans, will appear in our lifetimes.

“However they will not appear overnight. Rather, they will be created by slowly adding and upgrading existing features to current dolls.”

LoveDolls employees have been busy adding these features and making their dolls increasingly lifelike.

Adam added: “We have real implanted human hair in the head, eyebrows and pubic region. This has also been put in the chest and armpits for the male dolls.

“The head costs $600 (£442), we do the crazy pubic hair patterns for free, and chest/armpits are $50 (£36) extra.

“The breathing feature is new and very popular. It plugs into the wall to charge.
