A woman who complained about not getting a window seat on a recent Ryanair flight got a cheeky response from the budget airline’s official Twitter account.
Passenger Paula Sanchez was left disappointed with the uninspiring view from her seat on a Ryanair flight and asked for her money back due to a lack of a window.
She tweeted to Ryanair: “When you pay for a window and you get no window? Who is giving me the money back?”

But rather than apologising, or even explaining how their seating allocation works, the Ryanair Twitter account simply replied: “We sell seats, not windows, Paula”.
Countless people weighed in on the side of Team Ryanair, suggesting that the airline's social media manager should be given a pay rise and pointing out to Paula that it’s a budget airline.
One user said: “I’m with Ryanair on this one. If you pay four quid to fly to Benidorm straight from Grimsby Wetherspoons at 3am or six quid to some rural Slovakian airport made of old shipping containers then you get what you pay for”.
Another user joked: "Fuming. Was just about to order a double glazed window from you."
As a third commented: "Maybe you should offer BYOW (bring your own window) @Ryanair."
Despite dozens of people joining in the general mockery, Paula wasn’t daunted.
“It doesn’t mention that when you’re picking a seat of course, since it has no idea what plane you’re gonna be flying on,” she replied.
“The screenshot Ryanair has attached is clearly from the website; lots of people use the mobile app tho and i’ve never seen that one tell you about windowless…”.
One user pointed out that a window seat isn’t really that big a deal: “Windows on planes are overrated anyway! 5 mins of views at takeoff and landing and then hours of clouds”.
The Daily Star have contacted Ryanair and Paula.
