An agitated cyclist has been filmed coughing and spitting at a driver during a heated road rage confrontation in an unprovoked attack.

The driver, who does not wish to be named, said the cyclist started behaving aggressively after asking her to pull over at the side of a road in the Cusworth area of Doncaster, Yorkshire.

Video taken by the driver captures the man making a threat to her by repeatedly saying "I've got Covid" by the driver's window.

Despite the camera facing down to the ground, he is heard yelling: "I've got Covid! I've got Covid!"

The frightened motorist replies: "Get out of my face then!" before the man appears to cough and spits at her.

Speaking to Yorkshire Live, the driver explained: "I went out for a drive and had to pull over due to feeling sick.

"The person on the bike then asked if I could pull over down the road so I did, then they started being very aggressive.

"I was pulled into a lay-by so wasn't causing any problems to anyone else.

"But, when they peddled past, they said pull over on the next left.

"They were already off their bike and they just started shouting, then started recording so I did the same.

"I asked them to get away from me and to back off, but they said 'I have Covid' and coughed in my face then spat all over me."

The woman was left shocked and claimed she had ordered a Covid test after the incident.

She has not had the result from her Covid test yet but is expecting to hear back on Tuesday and is praying that it is negative.

"I'm disgusted, it's put me off going out now as I just want to be able to leave the house without anything like this happening," she said.
