Paedophile hunters snared a 58-year-old bloke who was allegedly speaking to a decoy purporting to be a "13-year-old girl on multiple apps".

Online paedophile hunters confronted the man in Bilston, a suburb of Wolverhampton, ahead of his arrest.

They alleged he had exchanged inappropriate messages with a decoy purporting to be a "13-year-old girl on multiple apps".

The sting was livestreamed on Facebook on Sunday, February 26, with the broadcast lasting almost 90 minutes, reports Birmingham Live.

Stills from the scene show a West Midlands Police officer leading the man into a police vehicle.

The team quizzed the man about the alleged messages before police arrived at the scene.

The 58-year-old was then led away by officers at around 7pm.

He was arrested on suspicion of attempted sexual communication with a child but has since been bailed while investigations continue.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "A 58-year-old man was arrested on February 26 in Bilston on suspicion of attempted sexual communication with a child.
