The businesswoman, 51, was First Lady of the US for four years until January this year, as the wife of President Donald Trump. Mr Trump was thrust back into the spotlight last night as he was interviewed by former UKIP and Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage for a “world exclusive” interview broadcast on GB News. The two friends chatted at Mr Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, southern Florida.

During their conversation, the former Republican President hit out at Meghan Markle over her departure from the Royal Family.

He also touched on the Queen, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and dropped hints that he might consider another run for the presidency in 2024.

Mr Trump’s single term in office ended in scandal in January of this year after rioters, including his supporters, stormed the US Capitol building, the heart of the government, as votes were being counted for the November presidential election.

Two weeks after the riots, during which five people were killed, Joe Biden was sworn in as Mr Trump’s successor.

Amid Mr Trump’s own big media moment this week, Melania has now been tipped to write a memoir about her time in the White House.

Every First Lady since Betty Ford has written at least one memoir after leaving the White House.

Melania’s prospective new venture is a chance for her to “earn money”, according to Page Six, which broke the story.

The celebrity news site spoke to a source close to Melania.

They told the outlet: “Melania is in meetings to write her White House memoir.

“And it would be her money — a chance for her to earn on her own.”

They added, “I’m told her husband is encouraging her” to write the book.

The source also claimed that Melania’s account of life in the White House would deal with her public fallout with Stephanie Winston Wolkoff.

The former close friend and adviser of the former First Lady helped organise her office as well as Mr Trump’s inauguration.

However, Ms Wolkoff blasted her old pal in a tell-all book published in September last year.

In ‘Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship With the First Lady’ she claims her reputation was damaged by the White House and that Melania failed to defend her.

The source, speaking to Page Six, claimed that Melania may be planning a response to Ms Wolkoff’s book.

They said: “She’s not done, or going as quietly as you might expect.

“In the wake of Stephanie Winston Wolkoff’s betrayal, in both print and on secret tapes, Melania’s story could be worth big money.”

Ms Wolkoff published secret tapes of Melania, which appeared to show her frustration that she was criticised for her husband’s policies.

One recording, which she released to CNN, related to Mr Trump’s “zero tolerance” policy of separating migrant families.

Melania can be heard saying: “They say I’m complicit. I’m the same like him, I support him. I don’t say enough. I don’t do enough where I am.”

The former First Lady hit out at Ms Wolkoff in an essay published on the White House website.

She branded her a “dishonest opportunist” who “clung to me” for fame.
