A desperate dealer tried to smuggle drugs into Leeds Festival by pitching his tent over the spot where he had previously buried a mountain of cocaine.
After bypassing security he paced out where he had hidden his stash and set up camp above it.
He then cut a hole in the bottom of his tent, dug up the drugs and began cutting them into individual wraps under the canvas.
But neighbouring campers complained about a powerful metallic floral smell which seeped out as he mixed the cocaine with chemicals to sell on.
Security guards burst in on his pop-up cocaine factory and he was arrested before he could flog a single ounce of the drug at the festival which featured performances by Liam Gallagher, Stormzy and Post Malone.
He faces up to 14 years in jail.
Investigators believe he hatched the plot two years ago – the last time the festival was staged before the pandemic – when he reccied the event's campsites to find the perfect spot to bury his stash.
In the weeks leading up to the bank holiday weekend bash he returned to the site – before the open fields where it is staged had been sealed off – and planted the drugs.
He then used an x-marks-the-spot map to find it again hours before the festival opened on Friday, August 27.

One security guard said: "This just shows the lengths some people will go to.None of us could believe it. It was like a plot from a movie.
"He had buried a considerable amount of cocaine – an entire block. It was very satisfying to catch him before he could distribute it.
"Considerable progress has been made in keeping drugs out of the festival and this bust highlights it. I saw more drugs at the Euro 2020 final at Wembley than the entire three-days of Leeds Festival.''
A police spokesman said they had made one arrest for trying to bring drugs into the festival.
A Leeds Festival spokesman declined to comment.
