A jealous and controlling man who murdered his girlfriend in a “savage, ferocious and frenzied” rage before heading out for a stroll has been jailed for life.
Amadeusz Sekula, 21, repeatedly knifed defenceless Klaudia Soltys in the neck at their flat in Hull and left her in a pool of blood after he became jealous about her online gaming friendships.
He monitored what she was doing online and eavesdropped on her conversations before finally losing his temper and stabbing her, reports Hull Live.
After he’d murdered her, Sekula went out for a walk before finally knocking on the door of a woman, who alerted the police.
He pleaded guilty to murder at Hull Crown Court last month after already admitting the lesser charge of manslaughter. After being sentenced at the court today, he’ll now spend a minimum of 16 years and 277 days behind bars before he can be even considered for release
Miss Soltys, 30, who shared the flat with Sekula, was found with fatal injuries inside the property just before 6am on March 27.

Sekula, of Lambert Street, Hull, appearing in the secure dock, looked upset and bowed his head and sighed as he was led away to begin his life sentence.
His victim’s parents joined the sentencing hearing remotely via video link.
Sekula’s barrister, Peter Moulson QC, said the Polish national had pleaded guilty at the first reasonable opportunity and deeply regretted his actions. He had no previous convictions.
Jailing him, Judge John Thackray QC told Sekula the knife attack was "savage, ferocious and frenzied" and left six deep wounds to the neck.
After the hearing, Det Chief Insp Rhodri Troake, of Humberside police, said: “I hope today’s sentencing provides her family and friends with some comfort knowing that Sekula is now behind bars, although no amount of time can take away the pain that Klaudia’s family have had to endure.”
He added: “Our thoughts remain with Klaudia Soltys’s family and loved ones.”
