When evil Dylann Roof walked into an American church and opened fire – killing nine innocent people in his vile racist rampage – the world watched on in horror.
The deranged extremist slaughtered the group in the Charleston attack in 2015, turning his handgun on the African-American community in a grim attempt to start a race war.
But shockingly, not everyone was disgusted by the atrocity and Roof’s race-sparked frenzy triggered a sick “Bowl Gang” that praises the killer.
The hellish group worships Roof as a “cult hero” and is obsessed with the terrorist’s bowl haircut.
Members share memes on the internet – with some hideous images showing Roof with a halo on his head.
The gang – which also refers to itself as the “Bowl Patrol” and “Bowlwaffen” or “Bowlwaffen Division” – has around 40 to 50 active members.
A different meme showed Roof's haircut photoshopped on a shield made to resemble the "divisional insignia of the Waffen SS military units of Nazi Germany," according to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).
Another, shared to 4chan, an anonymous imageboard website, referred to Roof as "the hero of Charleston…who singlehandedly…took down 9 wild dindu nuffins”.
The term is grim racist slang that refers to African-Americans.
One sicko in the group posted: "Dylann Roof’s actions were inevitable because our race still produces men of honor, and men of honor do not go gentle into that good night."
The ADL explained: "Bowl Gang members also use terms like “Disrespect the bowl, pay the toll” and “Dylann Roof did nothing wrong.”
How should authorities deal with the Bowl Gang? Have your say and see what others think in the comments below.
Bowl Gang members see the mass murderer as a hero – and worryingly, they’re not the only ones.
Just three years after the horrible attack, another racist shooting – by Gregory Bush, who killed two Black people in Louisville – was inspired by Roof.
Other wicked white supremacists have been influenced by Roof too – like Benjamin McDowell, who wanted to butcher innocent people in an attack "in the spirit of Dylann Roof.”
One dangerous member of the group was caught by cops with illegal weapons after he used a screen name of "DC Bowl Gang."
Vile Roof is set to be put to death for the 2015 attack.
A court rejected a recent appeal and said of the killer: “(The church) had welcomed him. He slaughtered them.
"He used the internet to plan his attack and, using his crimes as a catalyst, intended to foment racial division and strife.
"He wanted the widest possible publicity for his atrocities, and, to that end, he purposefully left one person alive in the church 'to tell the story.'"
The church’s pastor, Reverand Clementa Pinckney, and eight parishioners died in the shooting.
The other victims of Roof's deranged tyranny were Cynthia Graham Hurd, Susie Jackson, Ethel Lance, the Rev DePayne Middleton-Doctor, Tywanza Sanders, the Rev Daniel Simmons, the Rev Sharonda Singleton, and Myra Thompson.
