    A huge fire has broken out near to a "weapons systems factory" in Derbyshire, with locals told to keep doors and windows shut.

    Firefighters are currently dealing with the incident which is said to have began yesterday (Friday, January 21), with forensics teams spotted as witnesses claim multiple casualties at the scene.

    That same witness has since claimed casualties were rushed away in ambulances following the horror blaze, with aerial pictures showing a number of emergency vehicles in the area.

    A total of nine fire engines were reported at the scene, with DerbyshireLive reporting the mass of emergency service vehicles attending the area.

    In a statement from Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Services released last night, firefighters were confirmed to be dealing with the huge blaze, with advice given to residents.

    Their statement read: "Firefighters are currently dealing with an incident on Wilne Road in #Draycott. Local residents are advised to keep their windows and doors closed while we deal with the incident.

    A second statement released this morning noted that a "fire investigation" will begin later.

    Fire crew were also said to remain operational at the scene of a fire at a "commercial property", with the crew "checking for hot spots" with nine fire engines on the scene.

    Two people have since been taken to hospital following the huge blaze, ITV reported.

    A spokesperson for the ambulance service confirmed "two patients" had been taken to hospital and that "four ambulances, two fast response cars and the Air Ambulance" had attended the scene of the blaze.
