Haunting final photos of two sisters having fun a birthday party moments before they were stabbed to death during an alleged "satanic sacrifice" have been shown in court.

The tragic snaps show Bibaa Henry, 46, and Nicole Smallman, 27, dancing together and enjoying themselves in Fryent Country Park, Wembley in London, on June 5 last year to celebrate the older sibling's birthday.

The jury watched CCTV footage of the pair buying picnic items at a Co-op in Kingbury before they drove to the park in a purple Audi.

The court also saw footage of Danyal Hussein, 19, allegedly buying knives at an Asda, which he is accused of using to butcher the half-sisters.

The court was told he allegedly killed the sisters after seeking to make a blood pact with a demon to kill women in exchange for winning the lottery.

Bibaa was seen walking into the park carrying a blue bag before other guests arrived.

Snaps from the party showed the pair dancing and enjoying themselves, the jury was told.

But the women remained in the park after the others had left to take selfies into the early hours of June 6.

In an eerie last photo, minutes before they were slaughtered, the sisters look distracted by something to their left.

Soon after, Hussein stands accused of stabbing Nicole 28 times and Bibaa eight times before dragging them to a hedge.

He was allegedly spotted on CCTV arriving at the park earlier that day before returning to his dad's house at about 4am without trousers on.

Nicole and Bibaa's bodies and a blood-soaked blade were found by worried friends on June 7 last year.

A bottle of tonic water, which was covered in blood, was found nearby, allegedly including Hussein's DNA, the court heard.

The jury also saw CCTV footage allegedly showing the defendant buying knives at Asda near Edgeware Road three days before the killings.

The knife discovered at the murder scene is allegedly identical to the Taylor's Eye Witness block of five knives Hussein is alleged to have bought. It was claimed it had DNA matching the defendant and Nicole on it.

During his shopping spree, the suspect spent £32.29, including buying chewing gum, drinks cans, lemons and two candles, the court heard.

Following the killings, Hussein was caught on CCTV attending hospital with his dad Kamal after he had cut his hand.

After his arrest, Hussein told police he had injured his hand while being "robbed", the jury was told.

Giving evidence at the Old Bailey, Detective Constable Jo Hinchliffe said he had trawled through 450 hours of footage.

"Mr Hussein does not accept he appears in the majority or all of the footage. This is of course a matter that is in dispute, Oliver Glasgow QC, prosecuting, said.
