A snap of Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein relaxing in the Queen's log cabin at Balmoral has been shown at her sex trafficking trial.

The British socialite is seen resting her arm on Epstein's leg as they sit in the famous spot where the Queen has been pictured many times relaxing.

It is not clear when the exposing photo was taken, but it is thought to be when the former couple were invited to Balmoral, the Royal Family's Scottish holiday home, by Prince Andrew in 1999.

The image along with many others of the pair was shown to the jury in Maxwell's trial in New York, Mail Online reports.

Prosecutors characterised them as "partners in crime".

A further image shows Maxwell massaging Epstein's feet on his private jet, named Lolita Express.

The haul of images was seized by the FBI in 2019 from Epstein's Manhattan when he was arrested for sex trafficking charges.

He then took his own life in prison the same year while awaiting trial.

Prince Andrew, who was close with Maxwell and Epstein, has so far been mentioned three times in the high-profile trial.

Epstein's pilot said that he had flown with him, alleged trafficking victim referred Jane said she remembered Andrew on the plane and his former housekeeper who said Andrew "was always polite and a very nice guy".

Andrew was pictured horse riding with a companion near Windsor Castle last week as the high-profile court trial continued.

The Royal Family member was also seen looking "hazy-eyed" driving his Range Rover through the grounds.

The trial's prosecutors claim that Maxwell "served up" girls to Epstein for him to abuse, as well as taking part in the abuse herself.

She denies all allegations. Maxwell's trial continues.

Virginia Roberts, one of Maxwell's accusers, claims that Epstein loaned her to Prince Andrew for sex when she was 17 years old.

Prince Andrew denies these allegations.
