A female teacher was caught out by an "anonymous email" sent to police alleging she had sex with with a 14-year-old student.
Lydia Pinto, 38, of Newton, Pennsylvania, has been under investigation by members of the force since mid-October following a tip-off from an anonymous source.
Allegations against the 38-year-old claim the sexual assaults had been carried out over the course of several years and that the victim, now an adult, had been assaulted on an ongoing basis.

The former high school teacher was charged with having sexual relations with the student, as Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald confirmed his office had been sent an email alleging the sex crimes.
Detectives interviewed the victim in late October, with the prosecution not revealing the gender of the victim nor the specific locations of the alleged crime.
Pinto was charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault and two counts of second-degree sexual assault. She has since been taken into custody and is being held at Somerset County Jail.
The former teacher is now awaiting a detention hearing as local investigators plead with the public for any information which could bring their investigation forward, NJ1015 reported.
Ten days on from receiving the email, Raritan Police Department confirmed the identity of the victim and carried out interviews with the former student, who says they had been sexually assaulted on an ongoing basis.
Reports so far indicate the assaults happened in Raritan Borough, though further information is not yet available on Pinto's alleged crimes.
