An FBI paedophile-hunter faces jail for repeatedly exposing himself to teenage girls in a string of alleged sex offences.
FBI Special Agent David Harris investigated crimes against children, including child pornography while committing his own vile predatory acts, according to newly filed court records.
In 2019 Harris sent a text message discussing possible sexual partners, saying: "I mean they have to be in their teens. I'm not a weirdo. … Unless I move to Kentucky where 16 is the age of consent," the documents say.
Harris, 51, has been charged with indecency with a child, crimes against nature and sexual battery following an investigation that covered three states of Louisiana, Texas and Florida.
A judge declared him a "threat to the public at large" and ordered him held without bond, following his arrest in Ascension Parish, Louisiana earlier this year.
Local TV station KETK-TV, obtained a copy of court documents detailing Harris' arrest, The Advocate reports.
Harris who was a colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve, was first under the spotlight when a man reported to Army investigators that the FBI agent was having an affair with his wife.
Police interviews in Texas led to evidence of Harris exposing himself to girls aged 13 and 14-years-old on multiple occasions in 2018 and 2019.

He was found to have skinny dipped in front of them and when confronted Mr. Harris "apologised and blamed it on being drunk," according to the warrant.
The complainant whose family went on holidays with Harris', said one of the victims was his daughter.
The girl once "called him a paedophile" and described a time when Harris stripped naked below the waist and climbed into bed with her, according to the warrant.
The girl then yelled for help at which point he jumped up and got dressed, the warrant says. Harris was "drunk most of the time," the victim who was 13 at the time, told investigators.
Her mother was having an affair with Harris around the same time, according to the warrant.
Harris told the mum over text in 2018, of his "desire to be nude in front of people, in public places," according to the warrant, and "Again, nudity to me is like nothing and my wife is totally used to it."
On holiday to Florida, she blasted Harris for being "a little inappropriate with staring at the teen girls in bikinis," the warrant says.
The following day, the woman texted Harris about planning a sexual encounter with her former nanny, according to the warrant. "Please don't be creepy with teenagers," she said, adding that the nanny was "legal & more age appropriate for our fun."

When asked whether he preferred his partner to be a certain age, or "just anything goes," Harris replied to the mum "they have to be in their teens," the warrant says.
She hit back saying: "You just be you and find some young chick then. Maybe she'll be more open to things."
Harris asked. "Should I go back to being inappropriate with teen girls?"
The warrant for Harris' arrest was signed June 30 by a judge in Smith County, Texas, who set bail at $1 million.
FBI officials have declined to answer questions about his employment status, saying only that the agency is "fully cooperating in this matter."
