Prince Harry is "absolutely furious" with the royals and wants an apology for how he was treated during the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, according to an expert.

Angela Levin claims the Duke of Sussex didn't check Prince William's diary before he went back to the US with Meghan Markle and their children Lilibet and Archie.

She believes the timing was wrong for the brothers to reunite and said he should have visited the UK at a "quieter time".

It is believed that the brothers failed to meet up privately during the four-day bank holiday weekend and the Sussexes attended one Jubilee event publicly.

However, the Sussexes did meet the Queen and introduced the monarch to daughter Lilibet, who celebrated her first birthday celebrations on Saturday ( June 4).

The pair are also thought to have seen Charles and Camilla during their trip, reports The Sun Online.

Ms Levin, who spent a year with Harry while writing his biography, said: "I think he would have been very, very upset that he was largely ignored.

"He still feels he's owed an apology. But he's the one who should apologise.

"He said during the Oprah interview that Charles and William were trapped, he said he'd been cut off by his father."

The parents hosted a "relaxed" garden party for Lilibet at Frogmore Cottage over the weekend, which featured picnic food and party games.

Ms Levin added: "Allegedly, they asked Kate and William and the children to the party.

"However, they didn't take the trouble of finding out the Cambridges would be in Wales on the morning, and coming back to get ready for the Jubilee concert in the afternoon, so they couldn't go."

The Sussexes attended the service of thanksgiving at St Paul's and were spotted across the aisle from the Cambridges at the event.

But the royal expert believes Harry's anger was visible during the service and said he is "self-destructive" and could regret his move.

"The thing that really stood out for me on that day was Harry's anger – he wears his emotions on his face and he looked absolutely furious," she said.

"I don't know whether he had a wave of feeling at what he had given up.

"Or maybe he was recalling bad memories and was just wishing he hadn't come at all."
