One in five people consider pulling out of buying a house because of the stress that comes with it.
A survey by OnePoll of 2,000 people revealed finalising the sale, waiting for a completion date and packing as the most stressful part of the process.
More than one in five people, (22 per cent) considered pulling out of a house purchase altogether because they found it so stressful.
62 per cent of people said the main contributor to their overwhelming feeling of strain is when things are beyond their control.
Just under one third, (32 per cent) try to keep positive with 'me time', exercise, meditation and opening a bottle of wine.
Now, an online estate agent has created the world's first meditation series to relieve the stress of moving house.
The 'Moving Meditations' series was launched by Purplebricks after research showed the emotional rollercoaster sellers and buyers feel in the process.
Purplebricks teamed up with breath coach, Rebecca Dennis, to create three guided meditations to help ease some of the challenging parts of moving house.
Half of those polled believe the process of buying and selling a home can feel overly complicated, with 49 per cent dislike not knowing what is going on and having to chase for updates.
Also, 71 per cent said they would love live updates to see how far along their house sale is to ease stress.

But, 32 per cent feel the biggest relief when the keys of their new home are finally in heir hand.
However, just under a quarter (24 per cent) claimed they don't let out a big sigh of relief until all their boxes are inside the new property.
Rebecca said: “Moving house is one of the biggest life decisions you’ll make – there are many worries at different stages of the process.

“At times, it can feel like a rollercoaster. From the excitement of finding your dream home to the wait as you make an offer, there are plenty of ups and downs along the way.
“While the journey is not always the smoothest, there are certainly ways to find calm amongst the chaos.
“The way we breathe has a powerful effect on how stressed we feel and meditation can help to relieve that stress.
“By asking the body to relax each time we inhale, we unwind stored tension. By connecting with your own breath, you can reset the mind and body when stress or anxiety start to creep in.”
