Startup carrier Avelo Airlines is growing its new operational base at Raleigh-Durham International Airport with a second Boeing 737-800.
The additional aircraft enables Avelo to add three destinations — Memphis; Manchester, New Hampshire; and Rochester, New York.
Memphis and Rochester service will begin on June 14 and Manchester service will begin June 21. All three routes will operate twice weekly. Avelo is the only carrier operating these city pairs.
With the addition of three routes, Avelo will serve 10 nonstop destinations from Raleigh-Durham. It already serves New Haven, Connecticut, and six Florida cities: Orlando, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Sarasota-Bradenton and West Palm Beach.

Avelo initially based one plane at Raleigh-Durham Airport on Feb. 15, operating from Terminal 1. Spirit and Southwest also use Terminal 1, the smaller of the two terminals at the airport.
In addition to Raleigh-Durham, Avelo operates bases at Hollywood Burbank Airport, Tweed-New Haven Airport, Orlando International Airport and Wilmington Airport in Delaware.
