Luke McCaffrey is headed to Louisville.

The former Valor Christian standout and Nebraska quarterback announced on Twitter Monday that he is transferring to the University of Louisville.

McCaffrey, the youngest son of UNC Bears head coach and former Broncos receiver Ed McCaffrey, entered the transfer portal in January.

As a redshirt freshman for the Cornhuskers in 2020, he completed 48 of 76 passes for 466 yards and a touchdown. He also had 65 carries for 364 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. Prior to the start of the season, he lost a bid for the starting job to Adrian Martinez.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder was listed as a four-star recruit by 247Sports and ESPN, and three-star by Rivals. He received a bevy of Division I offers in high school, including ones from Colorado and Colorado State.
