Morrisons has announced today that it has cut the price of more than 500 of its most popular products in store and online in a bid to help customers save money on their weekly shop.

And that’s not all – hundreds of more price cuts are planned in the coming weeks too that can be browsed on groceries.morrisons.com.

This is great news as pay day is still a little while off, whether you might be planning a BBQs for when the weather changes or perhaps stockpiling for a potential forthcoming epidemic?

The price cuts average around 15% and will be held low to make products affordable and prices stable for all customers – which is great for those of us saving for a rainy day or perhaps a holiday.

Staple products like fresh meat are featured in the price cuts – Morrisons British Beef Mince 500g (20% fat) is just £1.50 a pack. This is the best price in the market right now, with rivals Sainsbury’s currently charging £1.65, Waitrose £4.49 and Tesco at £1.55 all the same mince meat items.

Other products being cut include fresh food essentials, popular frozen food and household items – including both Morrisons own branded products and famous brands.

Andy Atkinson, Morrisons Commercial Director, said: “We’re cutting the price of hundreds of our customers’ favourite items and are holding them low.  These price cuts will help customers manage their budgets and make Morrisons even more competitive”.
